ITANAGAR, Mar 29: At least ten dwellings gutted in a fire that took place at Khonsa Town under Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday night.
However, no loss of human lives were reported, an official report informed here on Wednesday.
The cause of the fire which occurred at around 11.30 PM last night is yet to be ascertained.
The inferno was doused by the timely response of the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles, state police and fire tenders. The jawans of Assam Rifles provided first aid to the victims on the spot.
Local MLA Wanglam Sawin accompanied by Tirap DC Ravi Jha and district disaster management officer P Duggong met the fire victims today and provided immediate relief materials.
The local MLA assured to extend all possible help from his side to the fire victims. The DC also assured all possible help to the victims from the district administration, the report added.
