Utilize natural light, harvest rainwater: Guv

ITANAGAR, May 11: During his visit to the newly constructed Assembly secretariat here on Thursday, Governor P B Acharya advised for maximum utilization of natural light and harvest rainwater.

The governor accompanied by his wife Kavita Acharya was very impressed by the building and its facilities and suggested for distinct marking pathways and steps in the main hall, reports PRO.

The Governor was also very pleased by the high-tech security apparatus of the Assembly.

Assembly Speaker Tenzin Norbu Thongdok and his deputy Tumke Bagra ushered the governor around the complex.

PWD Chief Engineer (West Zone) Katung Wahge and Executive Engineer Taniya Soki briefed the governor on the project which, cost Rs 135.85 crore. The building with state-of-art facilities has a total plinth area of 19074 sqm. 

Originally funded by Ministry of DoNER, the state share for the building is Rs 101.785 crore, the report added.
