Meghna begins ‘Raazi’ in Kashmir

Mumbai, Jul 05 : Director Meghna Gulzar has begun shooting her upcoming film “Raazi” in Kashmir.
The 43-year-old filmmaker’s movie stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
In a Twitter post, Meghna revealed when she was young, she used to accompany her parents, poet-lyricist Gulzar and actress Raakhee on their outdoor shoots to the Valley.
“Kashmir. A large part of my childhood was spent here. On outdoor shoots of my mother and father. Returning for my film.
Surreal. #Raazi,” wrote the “Talvar” director.
Meghna also shared a silhouette picture of a lake and mountains at sunset.
The film will see Alia’s character married to a Pakistani army officer, which will be played by Vicky.
The movie is produced by Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions and is based on Harinder Sikka’s novel, “Calling Sehmat”, a thrilling saga of a spy who gave all of herself and that of her family in the service of her nation. PTI
