Awareness campaign on GST held

YINGKIONG, Nov 14: An awareness campaign-cum-training in connection with Goods and Services Tax (GST), Government e-Market (GeM), Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and Digital India was on Tuesday conducted at the DC’s Conference hall here.
Chairing the training, Upper Siang deputy commissioner in-charge, Adong Pertin sought the active cooperation and participation head of departments and offices in the programme.
“This training would not only help the government officials get a through idea and knowledge of GST, but it would at the same time also clear the confusion over the tax that prevails among the DDOs,” said Pertin.
Speaking as resource person where Tax and Excise superintendent. B Yirang gave in-depth details of the rules and provisions envisaged in the Goods and Service Tax rules, Finance and Accounts Officer. J L Kadu deliberated on the universal roll-out of PFMS in respect to the entire Central sector and centrally sponsored schemes.
Kadu also spoke on (GeM) where an online marketing system will be initiated to cover the demand of all the government office stationeries and needs.
