APCA leaders pledge to work for peace, progress

NAMSAI, Mar 02: Leaders of Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association (APCA) who sat for a meeting cum awareness programme at the St Mary’s School here on Tuesday last resolved to unitedly work for the upliftment, peace and progress of state in general and Catholic community in particular.   
Chaired by Bishop of Miao Rev P K George, the meeting among others was attended by APCA president Taw Tebin and Namsai unit president Jiten Dai. 
Presenting the financial report of association where finance secretary Takam Mazing spoke about the necessity to organize proper membership drive and to conduct Catholic population census to strengthen the organization, APCA Miao Diocese president Muntang Mosang while thanking the APCA Central team for their superior leadership called upon all to work for the welfare of all sections of people.  
The Bishop of Miao in his intervention appreciated APCA for the untiring works done and called upon the leaders to work with the same zeal and enthusiasm for all-round development of society. 
The house then selected Jiten Dai and Namchai Wangsa as president and secretary respectively of APCA, Namsai district unit.  
The APCA leaders later also participated in the annual day celebrations of St Mary’s School, Samoguri in which DIGP Apur Biten graced as chief guest.  
Speaking on the occasion, the DIGP exhorted the staff and students to cooperate with school administration and work for the welfare of students. 
ADC B K Talukdar and APCA president Taw Tebin also spoke on the occasion.
