DM carries eviction drive

ITANAGAR, Dec 18: The Capital Complex district administration on Monday carried out an eviction drive here to evict all the unauthorized vendors who had set their business along the highway from the RKM Hospital to Akashdeep areas.
The eviction team was led by Circle Officer Dr Heera Panging, Liasoning Officer Sanjiv Chakraborty and the Capital police.
Capital Complex deputy commissioner, Prince Dhawan informed that the administration has already 
provided three vending zones in Itanagar for the registered vendors and such mushrooming of illegal vendors would not be accepted at any cost.The DC further has asked them to refrain from such activities in the future.
Meanwhile, an immediate relief of Rs 3800/- per victim was handed over to the fire victims of Akashdeep, ESS Sector and 2 km Pappu Nallah respectively by the administration on Monday.
In a statement Monday evening, Dhawan has requested the denizens of the Capital Complex to switch off all electrical appliances and turn off gas cylinders before leaving the shops/ houses and before going to bed.
He has also requested people to be extra cautious if they are using firewood and to sprinkle it with water to completely put it off.
He has also requested all the shopkeepers to install fire extinguishers in their respective shops.
