ITANAGAR, Mar 16: The Itanagar Municipality Council (IMC) has taken strong exception of the unwarranted bandhs called by various organizations/unions over petty issues and appealed them to desist from doing so.

It is observed that many organizations/unions have developed a trend to call bandhs in the Capital Complex on various demands inviting miseries to the public, business community and local vendors. This also puts a complete halt to the door-to-door collection of garbage under the municipal jurisdiction right from Banderdewa to Chimpu. So in order to avoid such situation, all the organizations/unions must desist from calling such bandhs for the betterment of the denizens, a statement from IMC chief councillor Kipa Kaku said.

Meanwhile, the Capital Complex district administration has declared the 36 hrs capital bandh called by the All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Forum (AAPYF) from March 19 as unconstitutional and illegal.
