Happy Nyokum Yullo, wishes Governor

ITANAGAR, Feb 25: Arunachal Pradesh Governor, Lt. General K.T. Parnaik has extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on the festive occasion of the Nyokum Yullo festival.

He wished that the celebration of the Nyishi community would continue to thrive, serving as a beacon of cultural resilience and solidarity for years to come and bringing all gaiety and joy to the society.

In his message, the Governor said that the state’s unique and age-old indigenous festivals have become a sinew of our cultural existence. Through the festivals, every tribe of our script together their history and legacy.

The showcasing of rich ethnic context through cultural presentations, delicious cuisines and exhibitions of exotic traditional practices has made the festivity, a grand binding force for one and all, he said while congratulating every member of the Nyishi community for carrying forward the tradition of celebrating the Nyokum Yullo.

“I join all my Nyishi compatriots in offering my prayers to ‘Nyokum Ane’ for her choicest blessings to all of us,” the message added.
