Italian scientist visits CSIR-NEIST Itanagar Branch

ITANAGAR, Mar 29: Scientist from CNR Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology
Based at Millan in Italy, Dr Sergio Mapelli on Wednesday visited the Itanagar branch of CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology at Naharlagun to deliver a lecture on “Industrially Important Crops”. 
A total number of 45 students along with their teachers from department of life science, Rajiv Gandhi University, department of forestry NERIST, department of botany, D N College and department of biotechnology and bioengineering NIT, Yupia attended the programme, a press release informed. 
The basic objective of the programme was to provide a platform to the students of different institutes to exchange their idea for future research and development in the area of biotechnology and plant science, the release added.
