KV students urged to excel

NIRJULI, May 10: The Kendriya Vidyalaya in North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) here celebrated its annual school day.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest, NERIST Director HS Yadav said activities beyond academics help students physically and mentally to shape their career. He appeal to the student to become nation-builders as they are the country’s future.

On being appointed as NERIST director and effecting changes in the KV within a short period with inputs from faculty members, Yadav said a lot remains to be done and assured support for the development of the school and the students.

Principal B Saha, highlighting the achievement and annual report of school, said there is no scarcity of teaching faculty in the school that is focussing on extra-curricular activities besides academics.

He appealed to the students and parents to have close coordination with the school authority for improving the performances of the students.

Prizes for games and sports, literary competition and cultural activities were distributed to the winners by the chief guest and other guests.

The programme was coordinated by Uday Shankar Paul, Sanchita Roy Sengupta and Pradeep Kaman.
