Legal awareness camp organized

YINGKIONG, Dec 18: The Upper Siang District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Monday organized a daylong legal awareness camp for the PRI members, GBs, women wings and public, at the Puging village here.
The camp was organized with an aim to sensitize the people on various schemes available under legal aid services and various provision of law, an official communiqué informed.
Addressing the gathering, where DLSA
Organizing Secretary Oson Mibang spoke about the schemes available under legal aid services, advocates, Dubom Tekseng, Kabang Taron and Oyem Panyang as resource persons dwelt at length on Women Rights, Consumer Protection Act, Juvenile Justice Board, AFR 1945 and Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme 2011.
The camp also saw National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) videos clips being showed to the participants and brochures containing legal information distributed, the communiqué added.
