MI, TB outreach programme

AALO, Feb 24: A special outreach programme on Mission Indradhanush (MI), Mission ParivarVikash, TB and Leprosy was organized by the Aalo unit of the directorate of field publicity at TabaSora village in the West Siang district on Saturday.
Addressing the villagers, West Siang ZPC YamanBagra said that the government has introduced many health schemes for the weaker sections of the society.
She urged all to reap maximum benefit from the government schemes.
District family welfare officer DrTomarKamki appealed to the villagers to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in and around the village.
He also sensitized the villagers about various welfare schemes related to health provided by the government and advised them to avail maximum benefit.
DrKamki urged the people not to be upset of TB and Leprosy, as these diseases are curable. He said the CBNAAT- instrument to detect TB infection- is now available in the Aalo general hospital.
Medical officer Nikte PHC, DrDurikEte, as resource person, emphasized on three basic points like vaccination and prompt medication for TB & Leprosy.
Earlier, field publicity officer M Basar explained about the aim and objective of the awareness programme.
Anchalsamiti member TabaSora, GomiSora also spoke.
The other highlights of the day included a public rally, healthy baby competition, cultural programmes, film show and quiz competition.
