NIRJULI, Mar 12: Unidentified miscreants burnt down two dump trucks of Zee Engineering construction at its workshop at P Sector here on the wee hours on Sunday.
As per eye witnesses the miscreants were four in number as they came in two light vehicles and immediately began to burn the vehicles kept in the workshop. The engine and front body including tyres of both the trucks bearing registration numbers AR 01 F/5944 and AR 01 F/5945 were completely burnt down.
Naharlagun Fire station when contacted, informed that on receipt of information at around 1.30 am, the fire tender immediately rushed to spot and doused the fire, further stopping it from spreading in the locality.
Meanwhile, Nirjuli Police station Officer In-charge T Loya informed that a case vide Nirjuli PS No-10/17 u/s-447/435/336 34 IPC has been registered by the proprietor of Zee Engineering construction Likha Nap.
No one has been arrested so far and the matter is under investigation, the OC said.
