SCC organises national conference on rural livelihood, environment

ZIRO, Mar 04: The Saint Claret College’s (SCC) department of geography in collaboration with Ama Aba MPCS Ltd on March 02 to 03 last organised a two-day national conference on rural livelihood, environment, and sustainable development here.
Inaugurated by Lower Subansiri EAC Mokar Riba and attended by IGTAMSU Chancellor Arvind Kumar Das as guest of honour, the conference was decked with 16 paper presentations and 4 key-note addresses. 
In all 80 participants made their presence felt in the conference. 
Renowned academicians such as professor School of Environmental Sciences, RGU dean Nishamani Kar, Department of Geography, RGU HoD professor S K Patnaik, SIRD deputy director Dr Vijay Kr Sharma, American Psychological Association, CMF member Dr (Fr) Paulson Veliyannoor etc  were the resource persons for the conference.
The valedictory function saw Ama Aba MPCS Ltd chairman Hage Penji grace the occasion. He also gave away certificates to the paper presenters and resource persons.
SCCZ has a long standing commitment to research, publication and extension activities and in view of this it has been organising seminars, conferences and workshops frequently at regional and national level under the aegis of the Research Cell of college. 
The conference was highly appreciated by resource persons and the participants.
