ITANAGAR, Mar 01: One Tehen Henkhe emerged as the victor in a declamation competition organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), a body under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports here on Friday.
The event, centered around the theme "My Bharat Viksit Bharat@2047," drew participants from across the state, representing 14 districts.
The competition showcased the eloquence and intellect of district-level champions, with Henkhe from Tirap district clinching the top spot and a prize of Rs 1 lakh, along with a certificate of achievement. Takam Regam from Papum Pare district secured the second position, earning a prize of Rs 50,000 and a certificate.
The third prizes, consisting of a cash award of Rs 25,000 each and certificates, were claimed by Janglin Lamra and Rupa Tagio from West Kameng district.
The jury panel included J R Padhi, head of the english department at Dera Natung Government College, Takpi Tanyi Dulom, a distinguished educator and orator, and Taya Bagang, a senior journalist and associate editor at The Independent Review.
