Chennai, Nov 23: Wait is going to be longer as Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has said there was no urgency for him to enter politics right now. All eyes were set on Rajinikanth who was expected to make a political announcement on his political on his birthday, December 12. “There is no pressing need for a foray into politics right now,” Rajinikanth told reporters at the Chennai airport.
Rajinikanth, who commands a huge fan following, said he would meet his supporters after his birthday next month. “I will meet my fans only after my birthday            (December 12),” the actor said.
The 66-year-old star has in recent times hinted at the possibility of joining politics. On an earlier occasion, while addressing his supporters, he had urged them to be “ready for war” when the time came, and said the “system is rotten”. “The system is corrupt, we all need to work together to change it,” Rajinikanth had said.
On other hand, Kamal Haasan is going full steam. Addressing his fans on his birthday, he had said: “This is just the beginning. I will hold 50 more meetings like this.”
In September, actor Haasan, who has been a vocal critic of Tamil political parties, had said that he would join hands with Rajinikanth if the latter enters politics. “There are questions whether I will join hands with Rajinikanth in politics. If Rajini enters politics, I’ll join hands with him,” the actor had reportedly said. PTI
