ITANAGAR, Mar 03: Alleging that unlawful tender is being practiced by officers concerned against PMGSY package for Kra Daadi district, the All Kra Daad District Students’ Union (AKDDSU) in a representation submitted to chief minister Pema Khandu has sought the latter’s intervention in the same.
Apprising the chief minister there was complete chaos in the venue during the opening
of technical bid, the union added that the representatives of firms were sharing and comparing their bids openly in the presence of tender board members which were absolutely unprofessional and an unlawful conduct.
The AKDDSU in its letter also alleged that the main intent of doing the same was to allow one politically favored candidate to be awarded with the work and the rest of the participating firms would get their shares.
The authorities and the board members allowed the firms to do so without any interference and the presence of some participants who were representatives of some political bosses evidently indicated nepotism, the union added.
Vehemently protesting such nepotism and fixing of tenders, AKDDSU stated that as a result of such practice it is the public who suffers as the quality of work is compromised.
Further appealing the state government to probe the matter and take appropriate action against such corrupt and dishonest officials, the union has threatened to resort to a democratic movement if the same is not looked into at the earliest.
