Dukam unveils ferrosilicon manufacturing plant

PASIGHAT, Dec 10: Industries Minister Nyato Dukam on Tuesday inaugurated Aether Alloys LLP, a state-of-the-art ferrosilicon manufacturing plant, at the Industrial Growth Centre in Niglok near here.

The plant is set to play a key role in the region's economic growth while generating significant employment opportunities.

Dukam hailed the project as a major milestone in the state’s industrial development and encouraged entrepreneurs and investors to explore opportunities in Arunachal.

He emphasized the proactive steps taken by the state government under Chief Minister Pema Khandu to establish the state as one of the most investment-friendly destinations in the country.

“We are poised to attract more investments, and initiatives like this will pave the way for future progress,” Dukam said.

The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing necessary infrastructure, policy support, and a favorable business environment for investors. He highlighted that the plant would create numerous local jobs, boost the regional economy, and contribute to India’s self-reliance in ferro silicon production.

Prior to the inauguration, Dukam visited the Siang Rubber Processing Unit and Patanjali Foods Ltd at IGC Niglok.

Aether Alloys LLP CEO Niraj Sharma spoke about the cutting-edge technologies and standard practices employed at the plant, noting its potential to enhance the state's GDP.

Advisor to the power minister Jikke Takko, Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering and East Siang deputy commissioner Tayi Taggu also addressed the gathering.

Ferrosilicon is a solid alloy of iron and silicon that is used in a variety of applications.
