ITANAGAR, Oct 10: Governor K T Parnaik on Thursday unveiled the new logo of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan here.
APPSC chairman Prof Pradip Lingfa, along with commission members Col (Retd) Koj Tari and Jalash Pertin and Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal were present at the event.
The new logo features the Sarnath Lions with the motto “Satyamev Jayate,” symbolizing truth and fairness as core values of the Commission.
Encased in green and blue, representing the state's abundant forests and water, the logo includes the state’s map, reflecting Arunachal’s identity. Additionally, the Hornbill and Mithun, significant state icons, combined with pen nibs, symbolize the Commission’s vision of becoming a 'beacon of trust.'
The motto "Karmnishtha Yogyata Nishpakshta" (conscientiousness, merit, and fairness) underscores the Commission’s commitment to ensuring meritocracy and transparency in its functioning.
Speaking at the event, the governor highlighted the critical role of the State Public Service Commission in shaping the future of essential services, particularly the administration.
He stressed the need for fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the commission’s functioning to deliver positive outcomes.
Parnaik advised the APPSC members to maintain high ethical standards, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure transparency in decision-making, emphasizing that all actions must be merit-based.
The governor also praised the creativity behind the new logo, expressing hope that it would inspire the Commission's members and officials to meet the aspirations of Arunachal Pradesh's youth.
APPSC chairman and members briefed the governor about the commission’s ongoing activities and reaffirmed their commitment to upholding its sanctity.
