NAHARLAGUN, Sep 30: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (IPR) on Monday conducted a special cleanliness drive as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
IPR secretary Nyali Ete, under-secretary B Goswami, director Onyok Pertin, and office staff participated in the drive, aimed at promoting cleanliness and a hygienic work environment.
During the event, Ete administered a cleanliness pledge to the staff, stressing the importance of personal hygiene, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to community cleanliness.
Reflecting on the achievements of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan over the past decade, Ete underscored the need to maintain a clean and healthy office environment.
“Swachhata Hi Seva is more than just a campaign; it’s a way of life. By keeping our surroundings clean, we contribute to the well-being of our community,” he said.
Ete further highlighted the role of the IPR office in setting an example for the public by ensuring a clean and organized workplace.
The drive included waste disposal, surface sanitization, and the maintenance of common areas. The staff were also sensitized about the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
