Itanagar police apprehend fugitive accused

ITANAGAR, Dec 01: A joint operation by the Itanagar and Basar Police led to the arrest of a fugitive accused, Anar Uddin, who had been evading arrest since 2021.

The accused was apprehended in Itanagar on November 30, 2024.

The arrest was made in connection with a case registered at Basar Police Station under sections 417 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused had allegedly defrauded several individuals in the area.

The successful operation highlights the collaborative efforts of the police departments in tracking down and apprehending criminals.
