ITANAGAR, Sep 16: Manish Kumar Gupta officially took over as the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
Gupta succeeds Dharmendra, who has been appointed Chief Secretary of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).
A 1991-batch IAS officer, Gupta previously held the position of Principal Secretary (Home) in Delhi.
Upon assuming office, Gupta promptly convened a meeting with senior state officials to review critical projects and state issues. He requested updates on various policies and programs, including key infrastructure projects, the status of vacancies in government departments, departmental promotion committees, and border issues.
In the coming weeks, Gupta plans to conduct individual meetings with department heads to evaluate ongoing projects and their progress. Additionally, he will embark on district tours to gain firsthand insight into the current state of projects and address local concerns.
