TAWANG, Nov 07: Local legislator Namgey Tsering on Thursday honored the district’s top three achievers from the Arunachal Pradesh State Board (APSBE), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and local exams for the 2023-24 academic year.
The event, part of the Golden Jubilee Meritorious Students Award (GJMSA) initiative, was organized by the Tawang education department at Manjushree Vidyapeeth.
Addressing the gathering, Tsering encouraged students to remain sincere and disciplined in their studies, urging them to grow into responsible citizens contributing to nation-building. He also called on parents and students to address social issues, particularly drug abuse, and emphasized community support, encouraging students to assist peers who may face challenges.
Tawang DDSE Hridar Phuntsok congratulated the toppers, motivating them to set high goals in their academic and personal lives. Dy SP Tasso Kato, drawing from his own experiences in competitive exams, shared inspiring stories of perseverance and resilience.
In his welcome address, BEO Thutan Wangchu highlighted that the GJMSA initiative, launched by the state government, aims to inspire academic excellence and uplift the standard of education in government schools.
The event concluded with a vibrant cultural programme by students of Manjushree Vidyapeeth, adding a festive touch to the celebration.
