NAMSAI, Nov 29: Namsai deputy commissioner CR Khampa chaired the monthly meeting of the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) on Friday, where key issues concerning drug and substance abuse, including tobacco, were discussed in depth.
The meeting saw a unified commitment from all attendees, including members of the Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), the district administration, police, and various government departments, to jointly combat drug and substance abuse in the region. The committee members collectively resolved to work towards making their villages drug-free in the near future.
With the inclusion of CBOs in the efforts, the district administration, police, and other enforcement agencies have reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying their campaign against drugs.
The meeting was attended by Namsai superintendent of police and other members of the district NCORD committee, along with representatives from women welfare societies.
