Police rescue abducted man, 1 held

ITANAGAR, Oct 03: Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) was on Tuesday sworn-in as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh at the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan here. Justice Ajit Singh, Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, administered the oath of office.
The state’s First Lady Neelam Mishra, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Speaker of state Assembly TN Thongdok, parliamentary secretaries, MLAs, Chief Secretary Shakuntala Gamlin, senior officers, public leaders and 
special invitees attended the function. The swearing-in ceremony was followed by State Guard of Honour presented by Arunachal Pradesh Police. Earlier, Brig (Dr) Mishra was accorded state reception on arrival.
At Raj Bhawan, Brig (Dr) Mishra and his wife were received by the gubernatorial officers and staff led by Secretary to Governor Vinod P Kavle. This was followed by a Guard of Honour by Indo Tibetan Border Police.
