SEPPA, Nov 29: The Nehru Yuva Kendra of East Kameng district, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs successfully hosted the District Level Yuva Utsav at the auditorium of Government Higher Secondary School, Bebo Colony here.
The event was inaugurated by local MLA Ealing Tallang.
The Yuva Utsav featured a variety of competitions, including declamation, young writers' contest, young artists' contest, cultural dance, science mela (both individual and group), and mobile photography contest.
Addressing the gathering, Tallang stressed the importance of fostering a scientific temperament among students, with a focus on pressing environmental issues and climate change. He praised the participants for their efforts in the Science Mela exhibition and encouraged them to continue their research pursuits.
Approximately 300 students from nine schools participated in the event. The winners of each competition will represent East Kameng at the state-level competition, set to take place in December 2024.
