Infrastructures are basics

TAP | Updated: October 7, 2018

Parbuk and Dambuk in Lower Dibang Valley district is to get
fire stations and also the Shantipur check gate is to be up
graded to a police station. Infrastructures for all sectors need to be established in all the districts in order to keep with timely needs of the places and people.
The model police station at Bank Tinali which on completion will be one of the best in the state will make all facilities available for the police personnels and also the people. The state government should consider better facilities for the police personnel along with every infrastructures established in the state. For a better working system, right conditions should be provided. It is worthy of appreciation to have considered one of the important aspect of good delivery system.
The mobile patrolling unit that was flagged off recently for the district is a welcome move. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been enhancing the resources of the states that fail to fully modernize and equip their police forces since 1969-70. It is blurry to assume if the state of Arunachal Pradesh has been able to modernize its security forces on its own. However, the coming up of the model police station in the capital, fire stations and upgrading of check gates to police stations is a way forward.
Police stations in interior districts have been in a dilapidated state for years, some had to be accessed after travelling miles.  A complete overhaul of the infrastructure is the need of the hour.  With the establishment of the new police stations in districts, the state can look into other areas of Modernization of police forces (MPF).
Government of India has had approved the continuation of MPF scheme and central assistance to be provided from 2016-17 to 2019-20 with the total outlay of Rs. 25,061 crore which include central budget outlay of Rs. 18,636.30 crore. Hopefully the state of Arunachal Pradesh is also considered for the purpose. Infrastructures are basics and every district in the state deserves it.
