2 selected for Gymnasiade

ITANAGAR, Oct 23: Two karatekas from Arunachal, Riya Nayung and Anthony Raje, are set to represent India at the International School Games (ISF) Gymnasiade 2024, scheduled to take place in Manama, Bahrain, from October 23 to 31. Nayung will compete in the -65 kg category, while Raje will participate in the +65 kg category.

The event will witness over 5,000 athletes from around 80 international school sports federations, competing across 26 different sports. The Games aim to promote sportsmanship and encourage cultural exchange among young athletes from diverse backgrounds.

The Arunachal Karate-Do Association (AKA) has extended its best wishes to Nayung and Raje ahead of the competition.
