Mumbai, Mar 10: Actresses Sonam Kapoor and Konkona Sensharma today declined to comment on Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial tweet on the International Women’s Day.
Varma’s derogatory tweet had landed him in trouble after a women’s organisation filed a police complaint against him.
Facing criticism, the filmmaker apologised yesterday
“Who? I can’t comment on Ram Gopal Varma, we have better things to talk about,” Sonam said at a store launch here.
Sensharma, who was also present on the occasion, sad she was unaware of any such tweet posted by the filmmaker but is against anyone making sexist remarks.
“I have no idea about this tweet, I have not seen it. I would like to say I don’t appreciate anyone making sexiest remark. But I have not seen this particular sexiest remark... I am not aware of it,” she said.
Varma had mentioned Sunny Leone in his tweet and the actress today posted a short video message about change on her Twitter account.
“Hey, everyone. I read all the news today. I believe that change only happens when we have one voice, so let’s choose your words wisely! Peace and love,” Sunny posted. PTI
