5-day data science training underway

ITANAGAR, Apr 29: The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Itanagar, in collaboration with the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), has launched a five-day training programme on "Data Science using Python and MATLAB" here.

The programme is being conducted in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020.

The inaugural ceremony, held at NERIST was graced by the institute’s director Prof Narendranath S and NIELIT director-in-charge Rintu Das as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

Notable figures such as Prof S Gao, Prof M Chandrasekaran and Dr Moirangthem Marjit Singh shared their expertise and insights on the training programme that aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the dynamic field of data science effectively.

Participants will delve into the principles, methodologies, and tools of data science, focusing on the programming languages PYTHON and MATLAB.

The programme aims for skill development in line with Vikshit Bharat 2047 and NEP 2020, Knowledge Enhancement, and Professional Growth. It provides hands-on experience in data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and modelling using PYTHON and MATLAB.

The program also enhances understanding of key concepts and techniques in data science, including machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling.

Through interactive sessions, workshops, and case studies, participants will deepen their knowledge and gain insights into the latest trends and advancements in the field.

Overall, the event seeks to foster a collaborative learning environment where participants can exchange ideas, learn from industry experts, and gain practical experience to excel in their careers and contribute to the field of data science.

As many as 102 participants have registered for the programme, indicating strong interest in exploring Data Science applications.
