ITANAGAR, May 06: Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) deputy commissioner, Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, has called on residents to help the district administration by reporting instances of earth cutting, encroachment, or unauthorized construction.

In a press statement, Mehta urged collaboration to curb rampant earth cutting and encroachments across the ICR region.

Despite administration efforts, collective citizen action is needed to combat these issues effectively, the DC said.

Residents can report violations to the DC Office via helpline number 8730-977604 or through the ICR deputy commissioner’s grievance redressal page at itanagar.nic.in. The DC has assured that identities of the informants shall kept confidential.

“The district administration encourages residents to be proactive in maintaining the region's integrity by acting as silent volunteers and aiding in enforcement against offenders. This collaborative effort is crucial for the future and sustainable development of the ICR, the press statement from the DC added. DIPRO
