Training on soil health

TEZU, Apr 30: An awareness and training programme on soil health was organised at the JNV, Mahadevpur here by Lohit district agriculture officer and ATMA project director in collaboration with KVK, Namsai.

The need for soil testing and its benefits, importance of soil health and method of soil sample collection, use of Soil Health Card and practical method on soil sample collection, was made during the training programme.

A live demonstration of soil sample collection was also conducted for the participants as part of the awareness-cum-training programme.

Among others, the team for the event included DAO-cum-PD ATMA, Lohit, N Sumnyan, ADO PP S Chaitom, ADO Tezu L Pertin, KVK Namsai SMS PP Dr Madhumita Bora, and all field functionaries under PD ATMA, Lohit, and ATM Sunpura Pankaj Deb.
