UP mountaineers arrive on bicycles

ITANAGAR, Mar 21: Two mountaineers from Uttar Pradesh namely Priya Kumari and Pradeep Kumar arrived at Lekhi village near here on Thursday as part of their bicycle tour across all Northeastern states of India.

Their journey aims to raise awareness about menstrual health and hygiene, with support from the Goonj NGO.

Priya, a recipient of the Rani Laxmibai Award and a Fit India Brand Ambassador, is joined by her partner Pradeep, a cycling enthusiast who uses his tours to promote awareness on social issues.

During their visit, the duo engaged with female students and faculty members of Arunodaya University (AU) on the topic of menstrual health and hygiene.

AU's pro-chancellor, Dr V N Sharma, felicitated the duo in the presence of other university faculty members.
