Vet Day observed

TEZU, Apr 27: The Lohit district unit of Arunachal Pradesh Veterinarian's Association (APVA) in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary celebrated the World Veterinary Day (WVD) at the District Veterinary Hospital here on Saturday.

The theme for the WVD celebration was, “Veterinarians are essential health workers”.

The APVA organised a livestock awareness camp and free anti-rabies vaccination of pets.

Since the theme of this year's WVD celebration is related to health workers, medicos of the Zonal Hospital Tezu were invited to the programme to underscore the efforts to fight some of the dreaded diseases transmitted from animals to humans together.
