265 benefit from health camp

ITANAGAR, Apr 25: The Don Bosco College (DBC) in collaboration with the medical wing of Arunachal Pradesh Catholic Association (APCA) conducted a free multispecialty health camp at the college campus in Jollang near here.

The camp was a part of the DBC’s NSS cell’s annual activity.

Addressing the occasion, former chief minister Nabam Tuki emphasized the symbiotic relationship between physical and mental well-being, urging students to prioritize their health. He lauded the efforts of DBC and APCA for their concerted endeavor and commended the college for its distinguished reputation as the premier educational institution in the state.

DBC principal Fr Jose George extended gratitude to the NSS Cell for spearheading the impactful initiative.

He urged attendees, including teachers, staff, students, and residents of Jollang, to avail themselves of the services provided.

APCA president Taw Tebin shed light on the organization's altruistic endeavors through its medical wing and outlined plans for future medical camps across the state.

Highlighting the necessity of such health camps, Dr Tabu Muri, an orthopedic surgeon at TRIHMS, emphasized the accessibility of healthcare directly to the public's doorstep.

The event saw the participation of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals including APCA, Medical Wing president Dr Rina Ronya and other specialists from TRIHMS and dental clinics, who provided vital medical assistance to 265 patients from Jollang and neighboring areas.
