DC reviews monsoon preparedness

CHANGLANG, Apr 24: A meeting on preparedness for South West monsoon was chaired by Changlang deputy commissioner Vishal Sah here on Wednesday.

Sah reviewed the preparedness planned by all the government departments, especially the inventories at their disposal and the status of other assets that the departments maintain.

The DC advised the government departments to keep sufficient stock of essential medicines, buffer stock of food grains, formation of rapid response teams, unclogging drains, felling, and trimming of old vulnerable trees, keeping all communication channels open 24x7, identification of vulnerable areas, and issuing advisories, etc.
