ITANAGAR, Apr 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly condemned the death of its party worker, Tenzin Libasow, during a violent incident on April 13 at the 14th Mile Labor Camp near Tenga in West Kameng district.

The violence, which was related to ongoing polling activities, led to the death of Libasow, who was actively involved in the party's efforts in the Thrizino Buragaon (ST) Assembly constituency.

The BJP expressed profound sorrow over the loss of Libasow and reiterated its commitment to a violence-free political and electoral process. The party called for swift justice, urging investigative authorities to expedite the process, arrest those responsible, and ensure they face exemplary punishment under the law.

A representation was submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer at Nirvachan Bhawan, seeking immediate measures to prevent any potential escalation of clan or communal tensions in the region. The party emphasized the importance of arresting all individuals involved in the crime to uphold justice for the deceased and his family.

The BJP also appealed to its members to remain calm, avoid provocation, and respect the rule of law to maintain peace in the affected region. Condolences have been extended to the bereaved family, with assurances that justice will prevail in alignment with the laws of the country.
