MLA Jini leads plantation drive

AALO, Apr 15: More than 500 decorative plant saplings were planted along the divider of the 3.3 kilometres 4-lane road from Hissam to Sipu bridge point at Aalo on Monday.

Aalo East MLA and aspiring BJP candidate Kento Jini, who despite the hectic election campaigning schedule, led the plantation programme.

Scores of volunteers and party workers took part in the plantation programme.

The saplings have been brought from Bengaluru for beautification of Aalo township.

Jini said that along with these decorative plants, installation of street lights will be completed within a week.

He urged the denizens of Aalo to take collective responsibility to make Aalo as one of the most beautiful towns of the state.

The BJP MLA, who is seeking a second term, is running against People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) candidate and former minister Jarkar Gamlin.

The state will go to polls for the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in the first phase on April 19.

The counting of votes for the assembly polls will be on June 2 while the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha will be on June 4.
