Meet on Panchayat Diwas

YUPIA, Apr 16: A coordination meeting to discuss the preparations of Panchayat Diwas celebrations on April 24 next was held at DC’s conference hall here in which all Panchayat leaders and circle officers cum member secretaries of different circles participated.

Addressing the meeting, Papum Pare deputy commissioner in-charge, Tabang Bodung called upon the PRI leaders and member secretaries to ensure that the day is celebrated in a befitting manner at all the blocks and circles thereby creating more awareness on the ongoing flagships programme of the government and its benefits.

ZPC Nabam Aka also stressed that public awareness is very important and all Panchayat leaders must play pivotal role in educating their people on various schemes and programmes of the government.

Earlier, DPDO, J T Toko explained the aim and objective of the meeting and said that there should be proper coordination between Panchayat leaders and line departments for successful implementation of all flagship programmes.

He also asked the member secretaries and Panchayat leaders to ensure that the Panchayat Diwas is celebrated in their jurisdiction and asked them to submit reports of the same.
